At the beginning of this year I wrote for Declassified about why I risked going prison to shut down Israel’s war machine.
The threat of prison is still very real for those taking action against Israel. My friend and comrade Richard Barnard, who co-founded Palestine Action with me, is set to stand trial in April on charges of criminal damage and supporting a proscribed organisation.
Only a few months ago pro-Palestinian journalist Asa Winstanley was subjected to a dawn raid and had his devices seized under the UK’s Terrorism Act. He was told that the raid was part of ‘Operation Incessantness’, a counter-terror initiative about which little is known.
Declassified is unflinching in investigating and reporting the stories the mainstream media can’t or won’t – and including voices like mine that you rarely read elsewhere. It’s work is needed now more than ever.
That’s why I’m asking you – the readers of Declassified – to please support fearless, independent journalism by chipping in to fund Declassified’s investigations going into 2025.
We’re seeking to raise £20,000 right now to help start the year ready to meet the challenges ahead. We’ve raised an incredible £11,650 already, but we need more. Can you make a donation today to help fund more Declassified investigations and journalism?
We will continue to be incessant in our shared mission to expose complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Your support is also needed to continue our fight against the creeping authoritarianism that is threatening independent journalism in the UK.
We’ve seen millions of people show their support for Palestine this year by taking direct action against weapons manufacturers, protesting in the streets and supporting organisations who expose the reality of UK politics.
Declassified’s cutting-edge investigations are showing the world how the UK is supporting Israeli atrocities – but there is much more to do as the war rages on and the death toll rises.
All donations – big or small – make a huge difference and will go directly towards the latest investigations.
Thank you for all your support – and please donate today if you can.
